I’ve got to hand it to Le Wand. It takes some nerve to go up against the iconoclast that is the Vibratex Magic Wand. The vibrator that started life as a lowly household appliance and met its fate playing a pivotal role in the sexual revolution of the late 1960s—single-handedly changing how every generation since then gets their rocks off. This singular achievement has earned this ferocious wand its place as a revered feminist icon, nearing the status of full-on deification.

Designing a wand that’s a worthy contender to such a monolith is no small undertaking. But surely, if Madonna, Lady Gaga, and Beyonce can co-exist, there’s room enough for more than one iconic wand vibrator in the world.

Sex in the twenty-first century

Literal decades passed with the Magic Wand remaining virtually unrivaled in its legendary capacity to elicit earthshattering orgasms at break-neck speeds. Sure, deceptive counterfeits and white-label knock-off brands made their rounds. But it was almost too easy to spot their glaring inadequacies by the mere flip of the switch.

None of them came close to matching the bone-jarring vibrations of the fabled white and blue wand. The Magic Wand (formerly known as the Hitachi) reigned supreme and grew even more of a cult following after introducing its modernized version, the Magic Wand Rechargeable.

Fast forward to 2017, the year Le Wand premiered its Rechargeable Wand. Displaying the inverse of what we’ve historically witnessed, Le Wand opted to debut their rechargeable wand ahead of their corded edition. A fiercely effective vibrator that, to this very day, remains stashed under the side of my bed. It’s grown to be one of my “break the glass in case of emergency” go-to finishers and serves as a fast-acting, nightly sedative. Too many times, I’ve jolted myself awake to find my cheek resting in a puddle of drool, and the Le Wand cradled in the crook of my arm like a newborn baby.

Le Wand Corded: The Prequel

I like to think of Le Wand’s corded version as an alter ego of the Le Wand rechargeable. Only this variant includes a more than ample, 8-foot cord attached. Otherwise, all other parameters appear to remain the same.

The corded Le Wand mirrors the same ten speeds, each bearing an equally robust execution. It, also, carries over the same silicone head that its rechargeable predecessor possesses. But better still, if you don’t mind the minor inconvenience of being fettered to a wall outlet, you’ll be saving yourself a noticeable bit of cash by opting for the less pricey corded version.

Unlike the Magic Wand, which you can get in any color you like, so long as they’re blue and white, Le Wand tends to glam things up. Can I say I’m all about this pastel powder blue? There’s something about this delicate shade of light blue that makes this wand seem a bit more bougie. Who would have thought?

Rest assured, each of Le Wand’s ten speeds is backed by the same souped-up motor that the Le Wand Rechargeable features. It can undoubtedly run with the big dogs, like Magic Wand and Doxy.

The only downside, you may have to leave the comfort of your warm, cozy bed and brave the chilly hardwood floor to secure those incredible orgasms you’ll be craving. Trust me; it’ll be worth it.
