Earlier this spring, the Blush Novelties Avant Pride line took the internet and sex blogging community by storm. Not long after the first campaign images hit Twitter and Instagram, excitement began to mount about this impressive new line of toys. A spin-off of Blush’s trendy new OG Avant line, created expressly to commemorate and celebrate LGBTQ+ Pride.

Avant Pride is a range of artisanal dildos and butt plugs that exhibit sharply defined bands of vibrant colors. With each toy’s color scheme respectively signifying and corresponding with a particular Pride flag. The flags represented are; Gay Pride, Genderqueer, Transgender, Lesbian, Genderfluid, and BDSM Pride.

Taste The Rainbow

Could we potentially see an expansion on these flags over the upcoming years? I certainly hope so!

Conceivably, with the inclusion of some of the other gaily colored Pride flags released in sex toy form. Asexual, Pansexual, and Bisexual are a few that quickly spring to mind.

Which Pride flags would you like to see introduced next?

I recognize we have to be cautious of over-commercialization of such a sacred celebration. As Pride is known to be. Being mindful not to cheapen it with corporate earnings becoming centered over its pure intentions of self-expression, equality, self-pride, universal love, and acceptance of all.

Although some will understandably disagree with this viewpoint, I believe the Avant series is one of the rare exceptions. I think it represents one of the isolated instances where a brand’s marketing concept compliments and actually melds nicely with the sentiment behind the Pride initiative.

Sex toys combined with Pride flags? Me, personally, I love the idea, and I’m totally on board.

Things That Make You Go Hmm…?

The Avant Pride line-up now includes only four distinct silhouettes; two dildos, and two butt plugs. The toy I chose to review is the P3. The only realistic dildo of the lot, and the one that Blush unironically chose to display the Lesbian Pride flag colors. Speaking of things that make you go, hmm…?

Showcasing layered stripes of pink, magenta, white, and red. This dildo, is indeed, a stunning and uniquely colored toy. One I’m happy I now possess.

Beginner Friendly

The Avant P3 was poured from silicone that has a matte, creamy finish. This particular shore of silicone has a nice spring if you squeeze your fingertips into it. Or in other words, it has a genuinely meaty quality.

I also want to point out, this dil would be ideal for those intrigued by, or perhaps, considering pegging for the first time. Its modest size and widely splayed suction cup base make it an innocuous and safe candidate for this particular use.

With dainty dimensions, in regards to dildos, that is, of only a slight 5-inches of insertable length, in conjunction with a slender diameter of 1.5-inches, the Avant P3 is a definitive change of pace for me. More recently, I’ve developed an affinity towards plumper, girthier toys. This set of circumstances left me feeling uncertain of mine and the P3’s future. I was doubtful of the likelihood of us hitting it off, so to speak.

Despite all my doubts, I was profoundly perplexed when I discovered it to be much more gratifying than I had initially anticipated. While I obviously don’t get the same degree of indulgent fullness and overstretching I get from some of the girthier toys I own. I am satisfied with the amount of friction the toy provides. Even with its humble size, the Avant P3, still maintains constant contact and an adequate amount of friction.

Something else I had not envisioned, is that its smaller size, and by-product, its lower level of resistance, actually serve me better than a girthier toy when I want to go HAM with my thrusting.

Expanded Horizons

The P3 a toy that certainly has its uses. It likely won’t be a toy I turn to on the daily. However, it’s nice to know I have it as an option. I think it’s essential to have an assortment of toys sizes to choose from and the P3 expands my range.

As for recommendations, the Blush Novelties P3 is an excellent prospect for those who are brand-new or just starting to experiment with insertables and/or pegging. And it is an excellent toy for someone who wants a realistic dildo that is on the smaller end of the size spectrum.

Priced at only $30, at Peepshow Toys, now, the Blush Avant P3 is a bargain.
