Product Reviews

It’s important to note, that l now and will only ever, review products that I consider body safe. This simply means that I expect any product that I review to be manufactured from non-porous materials, i.e. silicone, abs plastic, metal, glass, etc… (I’m not in the business of causing my readers to suffer a case of burning genitalia.)

Obviously, a positive review cannot be promised. My integrity is all I have in this business and I will not jeopardize it, for you or your product, under any circumstance.

I prefer to review products that can be linked back to an affiliate program. Simply because this provides a way for me to potentially generate a source of revenue for my work.

As of now, I do not join any new affiliate programs, unless they are willing to regularly send products out for me to review.

However, if you do not operate an affiliate program, or sell your product in stores that I am currently affiliated with, I am more than willing to work with you on a sponsored post. Featuring either your product or your brand in the leading role. Feel free to contact me for sponsored post rates.

This must be made crystal clear: A positive review can never be guaranteed. Whether you’ve provided me with a product that links to an affiliate program or you’ve paid for a sponsored post. My reviews will express my genuine thoughts and opinions. I make no apologies for this.

Any product that is sent to me is mine. I’ve always heard, possession is nine-tenths of the law. I’m under no obligation to return it to you if you are not pleased with my opinions of your product or with the overall outcome of my review.

Please be aware that it may take up to 12 weeks, or possibly even a little longer, depending on the size of my queue to complete and publish your review.

This extended period provides me with a longer testing period and ensures I’m confident in my final judgment of a toy.

Unfortunately, at this time, I do not review anal toys, condoms, lubes, oils, or creams. However, this is subject to change.

Sharing my work

If you want to quote me on your website/blog or social media page, you may quote, at most, three sentences from any blog post on my site. When you quote me or paraphrase me, you must always credit me with my name (Backwoods Bedroom) and a link to my website. Failure to do so will result in me contacting your web host to file a copyright infringement complaint.

If you want to quote me in print or in some other non-electronic medium, please contact me to discuss this before doing it. Please also contact me to get my permission before quoting longer excerpts from my site. In your message, please explain which post you’d like to quote, how much of it you’d like to quote, where you will be quoting it, and how you intend to credit me.

You may link to any of the reviews and blog posts I’ve written without Contact me.

You may not republish full blog posts from my site or any excerpts longer than three sentences. Unless you have my express written permission. Contact me if you’d like to discuss this.

Advertising

In companion to the sponsored posts, I mentioned earlier, I offer advertising space in my sidebar. These can either be a graphic ( i.e. a banner ) or of the text variety. Contact me for rates on these slots.

Please be aware that I can not guarantee a specific number of clicks for your banner. I can not promise you an exact click-through rate. If you buy ad space, you have acknowledged that you are aware of the possibility that your ad may not receive any clicks.

All advertising fees must be paid before I place the ad on the site. As with all sponsorship deals I offer, all payments are final and non-refundable. If your banner is offensive or oppressive, I reserve the right to refuse to put it up (in which case I will refund your money) or to ask that you supply me with a different one.
