Full disclosure, I’ve not yet had the chance to try the Mini Swan Wand’s larger sized counterpart, the Swan Wand. So, this review will, quite obviously, not contain any direct comparisons between the two.

The mini version simply seemed better suited to serve my purposes. As someone who routinely prefers smaller vibrators over midsized wands, like the Lelo Mona, and of course, the OG Swan Wand.

This choice probably comes as no surprise to you, right?  I mean, if you’ve read here much at all, you’ve likely stumbled across a few reviews wherein my blatant enthusiasm for clit vibes is openly and unabashedly on display. I get that my fanaticism with smaller vibes might come across as a bit much. At times, I’ve worried it could potentially be interpreted as being too over the top. And even feared it might be perceived as disingenuous.

But, rest assured, my fervor for mini toys is one-hundred percent authentic. Smaller vibes are a legitimate passion of mine.

Maybe I’m just weird like that? I don’t know. All I know is I honestly could not pass up a good clit vibe. Even if I tried to.Mini Swan Wand

And today, I’m super excited to share another affordably priced, compact toy option with you all. One that’s worthy of my recommendation. It’s priced right now just shy of $50 at SheVibe (Yay!) and a stiff contender up against, and, perhaps, even a possible alternative to, the We-Vibe Tango.

Ya know, for those of you who are not as keen on the Tango as I am. Shrugs, I mean I only have four of them in my toy arsenal. I couldn’t do without it.

God forbid I sound like a broken record, here. I realize I’ve said this before, but I want to say it again. Every single bullet vibe I come across, and I seriously mean every single one, will be or has been, judged against the We-Vibe Tango. Not that the Tango is infallible. On the contrary, it has a notoriously short battery life and a persnickety charging cable that has forever been points of contention.

Yet, it’s the only toy, in my opinion, that meets the extreme levels of rumble necessary to be considered the “gold standard” of bullet vibes.

It’s the standard by which I appraise all compact vibrators that I happen upon.

Mini Swan Wand compared to other mini wands and the We-Vibe Tango

I honestly can’t keep from it. Even when I’m willfully trying not to, I consistently find myself sizing up a new clit vibe’s overall performance against the Tango’s nearly unbeatable levels of rumble.

Perhaps, this seems a bit unfair, to expect every new bullet vibe I try to live up to my all-time favorite. I understand, but let me tell you one thing, it works wonders in weeding out the riff-raff!

I can practically hear you asking – “Oh, okay then…? So…? Go ahead, tell us. How does the Mini Swan Wand measure up against the Granddaddy of clit vibes?”

Frankly, in the power department, BMS nailed it! Now, I can’t promise the Mini reaches the same soaring levels of rumble that are delivered by the Tango. No, that’s not the case here. Indeed, the Mini Swan Wand does produce some solidly powerful vibrations. Unfortunately, they contain a hair too much buzziness to be judged on par with the Tango’s rumble game.

Mini Swan Wand

Still, the Mini Swan Wand definitely holds its own against the tiny titan. It gives the current Heavy Weight Champion of Rumble some stiff competition. Or, what I’d call a serious run for its money.

I think a single statement can best summarize my overall opinion of the Mini Swan Wand – “Where have you been all my life?” I’m legitimately finding it hard to believe that it took me up until now (way too damn long,) to discover this miniature, silicone-coated, power-packed wand. Power is the keyword here.

Y’all, I have positively no difficulties in reaching the point of orgasm with the Mini Swan Wand. Orgasms build up fairly quickly and most importantly they are always of a satisfying variety. Not to be confused with those weak, water-downed orgasms that leave me feeling unsatisfied and extremely bitter towards the toy that dared to produce them.

Here are all the things I approve of. I like how the contoured shape of the Mini Swan Wand fits and feels cupped in the palm of my hand. The complete and total absence of any patterned vibrations. Yep, you read that right, this is a toy that only has steady vibrations. Can I get an AMEN? Another pro is this little vibrator is reasonably quiet and not too noisy as to draw unwanted attention.

I also appreciate that it has an easy and unobtrusive fit, nestled in between my partner and me. When we use it together during penetrative sex.

However, as enamored as I am with the little guy’s overall design and its potent little motor, with the comparatively rumbly vibrations. There are a handful of unfortunate downsides I feel I need to address. The first being the lack of a finer tuned method of control. A quibble I’ve constantly found myself repeating nearly on a loop throughout my career as a toy reviewer.

I’m not mad at the placement of the Mini Swan Wand’s lone control-button, located in the middle of the handle. Or, the fact that there is only a single button, for that matter. And I don’t entirely disapprove, of this toy’s hold and press mechanism of control.

Allow me to clarify. I don’t hate it, but as a new (to me) method of control, it required more than a little effort on my part to firmly grasp this strange new concept. A bit of muscle memory retraining was necessary. I had to fight the urge to smash the power button repeatedly, over and over. (Like one does, with almost 99.99% of other sex toys.)

So, I think I should warn you. Pressing down and then lifting your finger from the button, thereby releasing it, and then pressing it again, shuts the toy off. The trick here is remembering not to press the button more than once. It must stay engaged to continue increasing the speed of the vibrations.

Once you’ve lifted your finger from the button, the Mini Swan Wand will remain at that particular speed. Until it is finally shut off.

When used properly, the press and hold control works by gradually ramping up and steadily increasing the strength of the vibrations. The longer you depress the button, the higher the intensity of the vibrations. Escalating, until the toy finally reaches a plateau at the maximum speed.

Actually, I think this hold and press method could be a fairly intuitive way of controlling a toy. Although, I might need a bit more practice to feel fully adept.

Fortunately, I eventually did (mostly) get the hang of the Mini’s press and hold design. But only after a sizable number of failed attempts. Once, that ended with me accidentally lifting my index finger and pushing the button again. Consequently shutting the toy off mid-fap. Leaving me, as you can imagine, sweaty, flustered, and in doubt of my very own dexterity. My cheeks reddened with frustration, and damp bangs plastered to my forehead. Argh!

It’s a prime example of the old: “If at first, you don’t succeed then…” Oh, nevermind! You know the rest.

Besides all of this nonsense, I truly dislike the inconvenience of having to turn the toy off and back on to return to the lowest setting. I’d prefer another way to quickly scale back down from the highest speeds. One that doesn’t require having to turn the toy off.

Another very minor qualm is my disappointment in the lack of a second motor. Or, one on both ends, as found in the scaled-up version, the original Swan Wand. I somehow imagine I might have preferred the smaller end. Based solely on my preference for ultra pinpoint stimulation. It’s really not that big of a deal. If only I had my druthers.

Lastly, and I’m sure this comes as no surprise, this smaller version places real limits on the way the toy can be used. Or more specifically, with the Mini measuring in at a petite 4.72-inches x 1.08-inches, this means G-spotting is likely not going to be a workable, nor a fruitful undertaking. Personally, based on past experiences alone, I felt the Mini Swan Wand didn’t possess either the adequate length or girth to satisfy me in this particular instance. So I’ve opted to use it exclusively as an external toy.

If you don’t already know, I’m not a huge fan of attempts to fuse bullet vibes and G-spot wands together.

Mini Swan WandHowever, to each their own. Don’t allow my decision to prevent you from giving the Mini Swan Wand a try as a G-spotter. By all means, go for it!

Lord only knows why it took so long for me to stumble onto this amazingly potent little gem. Either way, I’m just glad I eventually did. Sure, we may have hit some minor bumps in the road, but I’d gladly give the Mini Swan Wand my recommendation.

At this price, this toy’s strong rumbly motor far outweighs any of the inconveniences I encountered. All of these could be overcome with some practice and familiarity.

To summarize, the Mini Swan Wand has all the basics covered. Its coated in an easy to clean, body-safe silicone, it’s waterproof, has a travel lock, and is USB rechargeable. Not to mention, it’s reasonably priced at only $49.99 at SheVibe right now.

I give it a solid two thumbs up.

Now, I almost feel obligated to try the larger version, the plain old original, Swan Wand.
